One of the things that made the old Epinions less useful than it could have been was that there was no way to add new products. While Epinions was doing a great job of adding things as quickly as they could, those additions got slower and slower with time... What was worse, from this writer/user's standpoint, was the very things that were slowest to get added were often the same things it was hard to find un-biased information about anywhere.

I had a lot of hope that one of the most critical new features that was to get added in the "new" Epinions would have been a way to get products added in (near) real time.

The marketplace moves very quickly. Epinions needs a way to move much more quickly in getting additional products listed for review. The long wait times for addition of new products in many sections reduces Epinions value for both consumers and writers. So how about it, Epinions? I would think "user added products" wouldn't be too tough to implement. A well-designed web form that standardizes the entry of new products and allows writers to attach a review should be a winning feature for everyone and make Epinions second-to-none as a source of information on new products. It would surely convert this writer/user from "occasional" to "addicted."
