| BigOBB's Full Review: Creative Nomad 32MB MP3 Player |
I shoulda written this review a long long time ago but...I am lazy. Anyways I've had this product for over two years and got it when MP3 players were all brand new and relatively expensive. Over the course of numerous road trips, exercising, mowing the lawn and etc etc I've felt the Nomad has served me very well. First off, on the the first things you notice this product is it is extremly light weight. I thought the batteries would add weight to it but even then the player is light as a feather. Also it is very compact and can fit in most of your pockets.
One of the key reasons I choose the Nomad over the other players at my time of purchase was it extra features. For example it has a built in voice record, great for lectures, driving directions or recording an unsuspected room mate singing in the shower. Also included was a FM radio which includes 10 preset stations as well as a scanner option. The Nomad is also tough as hell; god only knows how many times I've dropped this thing and even almost ran it over with a lawn mower and the thing just keeps on ticking.
Finally some cons:
No back light, so if your in the dark, your screwed. Need a light or you can just sort of wing it.
Finally my biggest problem is the shuffle feature, to put it plainly it sucks. Plays the songs in the same damn order every time, no variation what so ever.
