I am always looking for a deal. I had heard about Half.com from a friend who sells through them and I thought I would look.
I went to the site and was completely shocked. There are tabs at the top of the home page letting you pick your area. This site sells books, music, dvd/movies, video games, computers, electronics, sporting goods and trading cards. If you don't want to browse by clicking on a tab, you can use the search feature. You can search from the home page or after clicking on a tab to search one particular area.
Once you enter your search criteria(trust me, there is such a wide selection, you will be using the search feature), a list of matches comes up including the best price for that item. The match listing will also tell you if the item is in stock. If you search on the home page and don't specify a category to search in, the matches will be arranged by category.
Once you find your item, you see the lowest price. However, the item's prices are listed by condition. The conditions are like new, very good and acceptable. Read the description after each listing. That way you can see any comments the seller made. Often times, new items are listed on Half.com. The other nice feature is that in the product listing, there is a box for Bizrate with the item you have chosen so you can see the price for other retailers.
Ordering is a breeze and once the seller confirms they have the item in stock, you will receive an email that the seller has confirmed the sale. You probably won't hear from the seller(Half.com is the middle man for these sales).
I have ordered 3 items(just 4 days ago) and have already received one.
My one complaint is shipping. There are not a lot of options available--it is how the seller chooses to send the product. But the price was so low, I could justify paying that.
I have not tried selling yet so this is only from the view of a buyer. This is a great place to shop if you are looking for a wide variety of items for low price.
