Nice player with good value

Cons: Skips, poor motor (2/2 units have failed)
The Bottom Line: I really did like this player, but I cannot give it a recommendation because 2 out of 2 units have failed on me.

This player is very nice overall. Great features and upgradability. Excellent sound and volume. Descent battery life.
It could read CD-RWs a little better. I had some trouble reading those at times. Anti-skip rating is somewhat misleading. Yes, it does have a full 60 seconds, but what they don't tell you is that the unit spins down the CD after it buffers 60 seconds and does not spin it up again until it reaches 30 seconds.
I have actually owned 2 of these units. The first began to skip constantly due to a faulty motor only 2 weeks after purchase. The replacement lasted much longer. I was very happy with the player for 13 months until it too failed. The warranty was only 12 months, so I cannot get a replacement.
Overall I really liked this unit, but 2 out of 2 failures is too high to recommend.
