Cons: Popup Ads/Cuts Out When Video Is Used/Bad Lag
The Bottom Line: Paltalk is a Voice Chat where you can meet a lot of great people. It is a pretty good product for being free!

Paltalk is a Voice Chat where you can meet a lot of great people. After downloading you should click on SetUp. There you can Edit your user info. You can choose which room by clicking on Groups.A window will open to categories..There are alot of good rooms (Christian/Music/Meet New Friends,etc)As with any chat program there are also a few adult rooms.
You can also create your own room.
One of the upgrades included being able to Red Dot someone.When you RedDot them they can no longer jump the mic and can not type offensive language in the text. They can however, still send a PM (Private Mesg.) to someone in the room.If that happens you can PM a Moderator (the person with what they call a hat @)The Moderator then has the option of whether or not to kick that person out or not.
The Popup Ads help to keep Paltalk free so click on them when you get a chance. If they annoy you then you can get a free popup killer here are a couple : www.adsgone.com and www.popup-killer.com
You can aslo pay a fee which you can find on the home page of Paltalk.
The PMs are a little annoying because when you are in a room a window/box will popup right in your face when someone wants to talk to you in private.Paltalk could change this. There was another program(FireTalk) that had Instant Mesg. The mesg. would be waiting for you until you clicked on it.Also, in Paltalk you can't whisper and the font could be improved for the text in the rooms.The PM font is OK. I know Yahoo,ICQ and MSN has this font options so I know they can change it.
You hear a lot of complaints about the sound/lag or getting booted but there are a lot of people there and you really can't please everyone.
