Avoid at all costs!

I have spent more time on the phone with Nextel trying to correct their billing errors than I have with talking to friends and business partners. It took them a span of 4 months to correct a mystery charge of over $80 that I was forced to pay twice before it was caught. It was only finally fixed when I wrote them a lengthy letter explaining how furious I was. This was one of many incidents.
They also made a habit of calling me to take surveys. Because I was a teenager when I got the phone I used my father as a co-signer to avoid the $500 deposit if you don't do a credit check. I am confident I never would have gotten the $500 back after cancelling btw. In any case, when I gave my name for these surveys they would hassle me (after calling me mind you) about using what was technically my father's phone and threaten to cut the service. This company is out of their mind.
Furthermore, the phone never picked up a steady signal. The signal strength would go from full to nothing in the span of 1 second on a regular basis resulting in literally hundreds of dropped calls. I am not kidding about this folks. I don't know if it's the phone's fault or the network but it really doesn't matter in the end.
I strongly feel that you shouldn't even consider giving them any business if your an individual looking for a phone. I know they specialize in business accounts and maybe they treat their customers there fine but for a personal phone don't even think of buying from them.
