| djbredesen's Full Review: Epson Stylus Photo 1280 |
I researched wide-format printers for some time, and finally settled on this gem. The main reason I came to this conclusion was I compared it side-by-side with other wide-formats in its class, and the color photo output of the Epson was by far the best. Recommendations also came from photographer friends of mine, who all agreed that Epson *defines* the high end of the photo-printer market.
The 6-color print head ensures that skin tones and light scenes print properly, with perfect color balance. The wide format printing supports borderless format as well as a huge array of paper sizes. The print driver setup screens were easy to use, but also gave me a lot of control over the print format and paper specifications. Overall pricey but well worth it.
