Pros: Scans clear pictures, quite easy to use.
Cons: Mine was never the same after a HD crash.
The Bottom Line: I had problems after my HD crash, but it may just be an isolated thing. Still a good scanner.

I got this as a gift for my birthday last year, I think. Or was it Christmas? Anyway, I waited until I was all moved into my new apartment before I got it going.
I'd say a good 90% of the images on my web site were scanned on it. After my hard drive crash in November, however, it was never the same. Pictures started coming out all blocky and pixellated. I would have to scan it as a bmp then change it to a jpg in Photoshop, where jpg looked great before.
I'm not sure exactly how fast or slow your average scanner is supposed to go... but it took me at least an hour to scan one regular size album.
My next step is a tried and true brand for me... Canon. I plan on getting a Canon Multipass F30, which is a printer, scanner, fax and copier in one, and if it's like the reviews on cnet and zdnet indicate, I should be a happy camper. It definitely would save more room than all the separate peripherals.
