When I first set up my computer system, I didn't buy a DVD player for it but since then I have. I had to upgrade to a new video card that would be able to support DVD playback and would also have S-video out so I could watch the DVD movies on my tv. To tell you the honest truth, I went a searchin' for a graphics card that would do both and at the cheapest price. A friend recommended ATI and I really only looked there.

Once I found that this was the card I was looking for, I went to look for it on ebay and was able to find it for about $90 which was not bad considering it was still retailing for about $130-$140 everywhere else. Even though I bought it used it has not given me any problems whatsoever.

The package did come with a couple of games and I did try playing them but they weren't all that great to play just with the keyboard and mouse. Since I'm not a serious gamer, I really did not play them at all after that. I just wanted to see the graphics and make sure the card worked all right, which is does.

I really have no complaints about the card. It does its job and plays DVD's and has the S-video out to my tv which is the thing that I was looking for with the cheapest card that I could find. I think in the future I may opt for a all-in-wonder card from ATI so I can do video editing and also watch tv on the computer, but for now, this card will do.
