This little Aiptek Camera is another addition to my arsenal of "toys". It was a Xmas present to me, and to tell you the truth, I did not even know that it was on the market.

The size and ease are the most important qualities to me. I am an owner of another camera that I use for "quality" images, and most of my shots taken on the road. However, there are many times that I do not want to haul that large digital camera around, making the Aiptek a perfect choice.

Yes, it does it all. It can take single images (80 High Res. or 200+ low res). It can take "video" images (about 10 seconds/30 seconds). Lastly it can act as your personal webcam.

Single Images - This is a nice feature for taking simple pictures. There are no settings to adjust, and absolutely no night shots. It takes a decent amount of light around the area for the image to come out well. However, it is nice to toss into a pocket, and keep ready for those unexpected shots. I recently used it at a furniture store to take photos of various things that I thought about buying. I then shared them with my girlfriend, showing her the possibilities of things to buy.

Video Images - what a neat concept. Short video taken from a pocket-sized camera. The camera does not actually take video images. It simply takes multiply single-images in rapid action. Once you get home, you sync the images into the program. The program splices the images together giving you a relatively smooth short film. THERE IS NO SOUND, HOWEVER.

Webcam - The Aiptek acts as a computer webcam. You can then do the usual stuff like web-conferencing, and sending video mail. I have not used this feature very much, and do not intend to.
