Uh-oh! The vacuum broke. I need one quick!
Written: Jan 26 '01 (Updated Jan 26 '01)
Pros:lightweight,good construction,long cord
and quiet
Cons:the model I bought does not have a hose attachment
The Bottom Line: Recommended to people with small apartments or houses
My fiance and I were living in a two bedroom duplex apartment when our vacuum died. Uh-oh. Now what? On an impulse, I bought a Eureka Superbroom figuring I would use it for a couple of months, then purchase something bigger. I brought it home, assembled it by literally just snapping two pieces together, plugged it in, and tried it out. I was so impressed that a year later, I still have my trusty little vacuum cleaner. I like the fact that it has a dirt cup to empty and the filter can be sprayed off and air-dried. I bemoan the fact that it has no hose attachment though. This little feature would make it the perfect vacuum cleaner. The power is good. It has a 4 amp motor in it. It works well on regular carpet and wood floors, but not on shag carpet. The vacuum is able to move from side to side to make cleaning around kitchens a little bit easier. Overall, this is a good buy for anyone with a small apartment or a small house. It is not recommended for someone who wants a do-it-all vacuum cleaner that sucks up grapes and other large objects.
