Abt Electronics Online Store -Computers, Electronics, Appliances, Accessories, and More!
I wish that I could say that I had actually had the pleasure of dealing with these people long before the past year. I have only used them a couple times but they have proved (to me) to be professional and loyal to their customers.
I rarely buy anything online that would be considered a major purchase and have only done so a handful of times. I mainly buy accessories or what could be considered minor products, or mostly items under $500 total. I have on occasion went over board but as I said, that is rare. However, I feel I could purchase high dollar items from Abt Electronics in confidence and not feel as though I had made the biggest mistake of my life. Have you ever done that? I have and I can tell you that it is the most miserable feeling as you wait to see just how bad you may have messed up until the product finally arrives and, hopefully, you see that everything is as it was advertised.
Abt Electronics offers the consumer quite a bit in the way of electronics, video, audio, portables, computer related items, mobile electronics, appliances, some furniture related items, accessories, and communication products such as fax machines, telephones, radios, and answering machines. My main relationship with them has been for accessories and I like to stop by and check out their rebates section to see if I can afford to buy something by using the rebate.
The last time I ordered from Abt Electronics was really quite some time ago. I am not certain of the exact time frame but it was before the first of the year. The TV in our bedroom was very difficult to see while lying down and we decided that it would be a lot better if we could hang it high up in one of the corners of the bedroom. We went to the hardware store and though they had some mounts, they just didn't have the appropriate ones. I did find what we needed at Abt Electronics and ordered them. I can not be specific about the purchase price but I do know the entire bill was not over $80 with shipping. The hardware store wanted that much without any shipping charges and the mounts they had were weak looking and of thin metal.
Our orders from Abt Electronics have been right on time and the packaging is always quite sufficient and appropriate for the product ordered. I have not experienced the need to return anything but I did have to call them once for shipping verification. The item, I believe is was an S-cable, that we ordered never received the tracking number. It was shipped using UPS and come to find out it was not Abt's fault nor UPS's fault, it was my e-mail clients fault. It had been done away with as spam. Anyway, everything was straightened out and I was finally able to track and the package arrived on time in fine condition.
The Abt Electronics site is very nice looking. The colors are mainly dark blue and silver/grays. A side bar is used that has drop down links when you hover over a button. All of their categories are listed on that bar. There is also a top bar with buttons that contain the site information and company profile links. Your shopping cart and newsletter sign-up will be found there as well. You can search by brand or category and or use their search feature that works quite well.
The site loads quickly and is not bogged down with heavy graphics. Everything is usually optimized well and load time is brought down to a minimum even for those with dial up service. I have never once been there and had the site be down or unavailable.
Abt Electronics carry all the major brands such as: Bose (my fave), JBL, Canon, Panasonic, Sony, GE, and many, many more. The prices to me, are pretty much average though you may find a great deal by clicking onto their clearance center link. They will have a few outstanding deals there from time to time.
So, you are probably wondering why I would buy from them if their prices are pretty much average. Service, plain and simple. They have very friendly people working for them and they seem more than eager to help when you need it. That says a lot and means more to me than saving a few bucks. Besides, in the long run, if you are buying an item that is priced so low it seems to good to be true, then it probably is and you will suffer in other ways later on. I will take service over cheap prices any day.
Be sure to check out their New and Hot link while you are there. They are good to new on the market items pretty fast and you'll find them there quicker than searching for them.
Ordering from Abt Electronics is very easy and not time consuming. My credit card is usually charged within a couple days and the package will arrive shortly after that. Their return policy is standard to that of most any other site and you will have 45 days in which to return something.

You can pay by any major credit card, personal check, money order, or if a company, you may use purchase orders. They do offer gift certificates so you may also pay in that fashion as well. One last point of interest about Abt Electronics is that they offer price matching. If you find the product you seek at a lower price at any authorized (by the manufacturer) dealer, by Internet or brick and mortar retailer, and if that price is verifiable, they will match it. Neat, huh? Great offer. You can contact their sales department seven days a week.
My final recommendation is high. The company knows what they are doing and they know how to do it right. Shop with confidence from them. I feel you will not be disappointed. I believe any mishap through them is far and few between.
