Is a real problem in our household - my husbands skin will actually crack and bleed. I haven't been too happy with most humidifiers because they have actually caused damage to furniture, walls, etc. from the damp mist, but we keep one in our home anyway.

about putting the humidifier on the floor. I have electric heat and it's not dry heat, but I wish I had known about this when I had gas heat.
