I've had the same eye prescription for years. When I go to get my annual eye exam I wish the ophthalmologist would listen to me and set the eye machine to my current prescription instead of playing around for 20 minutes asking me which letter looks clearer - but there is a reason they have a diploma on the wall and I guess they are just doing their job. Still, shelling out $78.00 every year - plus the price of the lenses started to grind on me. Turning to the internet I encountered many sites that sell contact lenses at rock bottom prices - with one little catch - a silly little membership fee ranging from $20.00 - $49.99 a year. If you are trying to save money why would you willingly fork out money for a membership? Continuing on my quest - I came across PeepersContacts.com and - over a year later - I am a loyal and faithful customer.
I suffer from massive calcium build-ups and deposits on my lenses regardless of how much I clean them or use enzyme tablets. It's just a fact of life that I need to use disposable lenses and replace them on a fairly normal schedule. From time to time I can squeeze out a few extra weeks if I rotate the uses of lenses with glasses but the first time the lenses feel dry or scratchy, they get pitched in the trash. My vision is something that I simply won't jeopardize to save a few dollars here or there. Now, that doesn't mean that I won't shop around for the best prices on lenses - it just means that I will replace them at the first sign of eye stress. Until I came across PeepersContacts.com I thought I was stuck in a rut and forced to pay sky-high prices for lenses - thank god for the internet!
Site Navigation
You have to keep in mind that you are dealing with contact lenses - so there's only so much information you can deal with without getting into the technical aspect of the products. In almost all cases there are descriptions of the products, pictures of the boxes and both the suggested retail price as well as the PeepersContacts.com price. Having accurate photos of the box is a must since some of the names look alike - but if you have a concern about a product, do yourself a favor and call before you order something. It's better to spend five minutes on the phone than to stand in line at the post office waiting to mail your lenses back for a replacement.
The site is basic and easy to navigate and isn't clogged up with fancy photos or graphics. The main page gives you a list of the manufacturers that they carry and from there you can click on the different types of lenses that they stock. If you have a question please call the customer service team before you place an order. You can also check with your eye doctor to see which brands and types of contacts would be compatible with what you currently wear. It?s one thing to play around with sunglasses or non-prescription glasses, but picking out different lenses because o a lower price or you like the type of tint used could have some serious repercussions.
My Purchases
As much as I hate to admit it, I used to go to Mexico to get my contact lenses. These were official Bausch & Lomb lenses, factory sealed and manufactured in the United States. I picked up a box a few years ago when the lenses I had were pitted with calcium deposits. Just one of the many reasons why I opt for the disposable lenses rather than standard lenses. PeepersContacts.com offers affordable prices on the lenses they sell as well as a few assorted accessories - the one I really want to mention being the new Count It contact lens case. This allows you to keep track of when your lenses need to be replaced and costs a paltry $6.99 - a small price to protect your eyes from infection as well as maintaining optimum vision.

When doing price comparisons online please make sure you get all the fees and charges before you place an order - this includes the membership fees that might be tucked away in some small font paragraph that doesn't surface until you are almost done with your transaction. Make sure you read the fine print and know exactly what you are paying for before you submit a credit card number!
The Peepers.com Connection
When you look at the top of the toolbar you will see a category for 'sunglasses', click on this and you'll go to the Peepers.com website. There is a separate toll free customer service and order line however the physical address is the same. The toll free number for Peepers.com is [800] 955-5786 however the number for ordering contacts or customer service for PeepersConcacts.com is [800] 988-4790. The parent company is the same however these are two different divisions and should be treated as such when ordering or calling for help or information.
Methods of Payment
I?ve only used my credit card when paying for purchases and have never been double billed, over billed or charged more than my original quote. For your convenience they accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover cards for payment of your order. If you wish to pay by check or money order, print out your order and mail it along with your payment to the address listed at the website. Since I have never ordered with a check I don?t know how long they hold it to make sure it clears - but most sites hold it for at least 10 business days. If you would like to wire funds to PeepersContacts.com, please call the toll free customer service number for instructions.
Shipping Fees
Some people might get a little freaked out at the shipping fees that PeepersContacts.com charges. When I did the math of purchasing the lenses at Costco, Wal-Mart [the optical department] and form other online sites that charged a membership fee to join for a year, I was still saving money by ordering from PeepersContacts.com. They use Federal Express for practically all their shipments so you will not only get your lenses quickly, but in much better condition than if they were shipped by UPS or the USPS.
Anything up to one pound will set you back $8.95, up to two pounds, $12.35 - these prices are for FedEx Ground, you always have the option for FedEx Second Day or Overnight service providing that you pay the additional fees. Almost all of my orders arrive in less than five days so if I place an order on Monday I usually have the new lenses in my hands by Friday afternoon.
Customer Service
I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service when I ordered my contact lenses. I received an order confirmation as well as a note when my order shipped. I've made numerous calls to PeepersContacts.com and have always received the best customer service possible - no matter how simple or basic my questions were. I can't stress this enough, if you have a question about a product please call first - it's better to spend a few minutes asking basic questions than to have to make a return or exchange.
Anyone I have spoken with at PeepersContacts.com have been on the ball - no transferring to other agents or lengthy wait times to talk to a human. They also won't dodge a question if they don't know the answer - they will take your name and number and call you back with all the information rather than making you wait on hold. I?ve never spent more than two minutes waiting to speak to someone about an order or question - regardless of when I called for help. To me the customer service team is top notch!
Return Policy
When I placed my first order with PeepersContacts.com over a year ago I ordered the wrong set of lenses. It was totally my mistake so I didn't really feel that the company should have to pay for my mistake however I was told that they would replace the lenses as long as the box wasn't opened. Since I order disposable lenses, they come three lenses in a box so I could have returned the second box [left lenses] for an exchange. I am pretty lucky to have the same prescription for each eye so I can buy one box at a time instead of two. I opted to try out the lenses that I ordered by mistake and found them to be just as good as the B & L brand that I normally wear.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, call the customer service department before you open the individual boxes. Once they are opened they will not accept them for a return or exchange. To get specifics on how to make a return, please contact the customer service team. In most cases they will be more than happy to make sure that your satisfaction is first and foremost when dealing with an error in shipping or selection.

The Bottom Line
So far I am more than impressed with the way the PeepersContact.com site has treated me. Even when I ordered the wrong contacts they offered to exchange the unopened box and issue me a credit to my account. Not many sites go out of their way to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied - most of them are looking for quick sales, not return or repeat customers.
All the products I have ordered have arrived on the exact day promised - or before that date. The boxes are factory sealed, new and carry the warranty of the manufacturer. I've never had any trouble placing an order online, getting a confirmation email or getting an answer to a question ? and those are the basic things that you should get from any site you do business with.
If you are looking for a dependable site that offers great prices on contact lenses, I highly suggest that you check out PeepersContact.com today!
As always, thanks for the visit!
