I have the same phone and don't want to use the browser either.
To stop that browser from starting accidentally, hit "menu", and go into "Settings", then "Security", then "Lock Application". It'll ask for a code, which is likely 1234 if you haven't changed it. From there you can disable the browser.

Gee thanks. I'd love to return the compliment and offer helpful ideas on some of your reviews but surprise you've never written any. Nice to know you're such an expert on Epinions though.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I tried so hard to make it to the end of your review thinking that there might actually be some useful information about the phone mixed in there with all of the storytelling, but I just couldn't make it.
FYI these are the epinions guidelines :
Focus on helping others make a buying decision
Makes a recommendation to shoppers
Relevant to the stated product/topic
Easy to read/understand
Details about the product shoppers would find useful
Again I apologize for criticizing, but just thought this might help.

I have a friend who was in the 10th Mountain that rolled out to evac the guys in Bakara Market. What you don't see in the movie is that they were ambushed shortly after leaving base.
They spent all their ammo laying waste to the ambushers and had to return to base for more ammo before they could continue with the mission.

I've got a cell phone that I carry with me about a tenth of the time -- usually if I'm on some road trip or slipping into Dallas for the day. Mostly, my wife keeps it with her.
I'm not accustomed to it, yet. When I stop somewhere, I often leave it in my car. But, I guess that's better than in a cab...

I hope your bachelor party managed to conclude without sending too many guys to the hospital.

Yeah I know little brother. There is something about movies like that get to me too, but I feel they need to be seen. Almost ended up there myself and considering what happened to the Canadian battle group in retrospect I wish had made it.
BTW update on the phone. New past time is having it fall out fall out while I'm running and then kicking it along the sidewalk.

Ah, the web gear.
That takes me back....
That and I finally watched BLACK HAWK DOWN on DVD (reluctantly, I might add).
There was too much about that event that made my stomach knot up. Too much familiarity about the soldiers, their talk, their gear. And, of course, I was a soldier slated to ship overseas about two weeks after that event.
It was hard to watch. I remember the anger I felt when it happened.
But, I think more people need to watch it...

P.S. Oh, yeah. Good review of the phone and its cost traps, etc.

An amusing walk through the hell.... (Reply to this comment)

...we've created for ourselves in the name of convenience.
Who'd a thunk not so long ago that a tale like this would be a useful and amusing consumer review?

Those little phones are filled with technology -
unfortunately they also use the technology to hit you where it hurts the most - in the pocketbook.
Of course, I liked your review. Although I laughed when I read it, I bet there a lot of guys and gals that are laughing because they have had similar experiences.
