Well, I think that's why they included the channel selector; if you have other controllers (or wireless keyboards or mice or what have you), you can set the Wavebirds to different channels so they don't interfere with each other. If these devices start to proliferate and you run out of channels to choose from, though, you're right, I don't know quite what you'd do about that...

As for the battery life, I appreciate the tip. I'll make sure to try changing the batteries first before I panic if I see the range dropping. ;)

Just some warnings... (Reply to this comment)

I worked for a company that dealt with wireless mice & keyboards. A few things about going RF instead of IR. First off, yes it is great that you don't need line of site anymore. One problem though is not just other RF devices in the area, but other game controllers like this one. If you live in an apartment or dorm it could obviously be a more obvious problem.

The other issue is that as the battery gets low, your range will drop. The controllers probably don't use that much energy, but if you play for hours on end for days, who knows what the lifespan is. It might be a good idea to get some rechargables, just so you can recharge them periodically as your range starts to drop.

I totally agree with all your points on the Wavebird, how did we ever make it without these controllers? It's especially good for someone with a big screen TV, now I don't have to sit right up on the TV to play. I've yet to find anything better than playing NFL2K2 with my Wavebird while I'm sprawled across the futon across the room from the TV. Great review.
