I am getting married and my fiancee' and I decided to register with Target. We found such great items on line and in the store that we just couldn't resist.
Well, we had registered at least 6 months before my bridal shower. When it came time for the bridal shower, I was showered with gifts but for some reason I was receiving 2 and 3 of the same item. What could I possibly do with 3 irons and 2 crock pots?! I didn't want to waste too much time so I immediately went to my local Target the following day. Here are my complaints:
#1) The on line registry somehow listed things that were already purchased as items we still needed to receive. Hence the multiple irons, crockpots and so on.
#2) The on line registry listed items we registered for but with the wrong color. For example, Big and Cozy towels in Gray were listed on the registry as Big and Cozy towels in Green. I was wondering why I got so many wrong items?!
#3) I'm sure you can imagine, between the multiple items and the wrong colors I received I had an abundance of items to return and only a few receipts. Well, low and behold, Target has a policy for on line bridal registries (something they fail to mention when you register with them). You can only return up to $150 worth of merchandise. Have you ever heard of such a thing?!! The rest of the items I had to keep! I couldn't exchange or return anything above $150 total on all the items I had. Not a very customer worthy deal.
Do you think Target.com was wrong and should have taken the items that were incorrectly listed on the on line registry back? I do!
You be the judge!
