As anyone who knows me can tell you, I travel a lot. Most of this is based on my husband's military career, and we travel to relocate quite often. I also travel to keep in touch with the many friends I have had to leave behind in many states, and I have a stepdaughter who flies out twice a year to visit us from Texas. I have used Travelocity nine times in two years and I have never had a problem with them. If anything, all of my expierences have been pleasant and as easy going as airport security can give you these days.
Travelocity is easy to navigate and pretty self explanitory. I have been a registered member for about four years and have subscribed to the Fare Watcher service. I recommend this to anyone who flies to a certain city frequently or who has a trip coming up in the future and wants to keep updated on price drops. I usually wait to order my stepdaughter's ticket until the price from Dallas/Ft.Worth to Raleigh, NC drops before I order them. Keep in mind when you order that if you change the date, it is going to cost you. Travelocity e-mails the notice of price drops based on your specifications. You chose the cities and the amount you want it to drop before you are alerted.
I also deal with customer service quite often. After I order my stepdaughter's ticket I have to contact travelocity and let them know that she is an unaccompanied minor. Also, up until July, I always had to call and add my daughter as a lap child for any of my flights. Now she is too old and I have to purchase her a ticket. Customer service has always been prompt, friendly, and error-free.
The prices on Travelocity can not be beat. I am big on comparision shopping and have never found anybody to beat Travelocity's prices, and that includes going directly to the airline. I flew cross country to San Diego in June for $128, I was impressed.
In short, I have always had glitch free, error proof, repetitive expierences with Travelocity and I have no plans to stop using them or recommending them.
