Dracula Resurrection Needs some sort of Redemption

Pros:Awesome stunning graphics to say the least...
Cons:The game is cheaply created. Storyline really stinks. The ending is a severe blow.
The Bottom Line: This game is a low budget thriller type and needs more work to become an actual great game so in my opinion,it does not deserve to be retail.
Dracula Resurrection is by no means an expensive game. I picked this one up for only $14.99 at Circuit City and from how the graphics looked I expected a whole lot more than what the actual developers gave.
The only thing that I can see that is good about this game is the graphics. They are superb and almost realistic to an extent. I was very disappointed that I could not walk through to the different areas like a real-life sim would let you. Instead, this is a point and click type game, meaning that you point the cursor where you want to move and click and the next screen comes up. This severely sucks.
Programming has come a long way and so has DirectX to where programmers shouldn't be creating games like this. It's basically one big pile of screen shots and you click for the next screen to pop-up. I for one dislike this.
More disappointments include things such as the storyline. There isn't much to grab you in this storyline. It is just horribly written and I feel that the writers for this game need to attend a good creative writing class to sharpen up their knowledge.
Another thing I noticed about this game is that when the characters speak, their lip movement was horribly done to recreate actual speech of each word. I know this is hard to do, but I have seen it done and done perfectly to a T by a young man by the name of Jeff Lew.
The Sound for this game I found to be decent. There is nothing totally awesome about it nor does it suck so I give this an average rating.
One thing that I was expecting and hoping to see which really disappointed me when I did not see it was an options ability to where I could change the Gamma or the Graphics card or the sound card settings. There was nothing there. This game to me seems to be like a low budget film, one that would be expected to be seen on a show such as Elvira "The Mistress of The Dark." This game in no way really excited me to any point. It was all basically one big disappointment.
Also don't expect to have an awesome ending to this game because you are certainly not going to get one. =(
So basically all in all I do believe the saying, " YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" and isn't that the bold-faced truth. For $14.99 you end up with a cheap game which I am definitely going to return and get something better.
