good sound, bad quality

Pros:Good sound, lots of features
Cons:easily stops to work, goes beserek after about a year or so.
The Bottom Line: I would suggest looking at other brands first, them moving to an Aiwa.
Over the years I have bought many Aiwas. All of them sounded great too. I recently bought the NSX-HMT76 wich souded awesome also. After a while of regular use though, the system starts to do all sorts of weird and unusual things. Such as when I press the stereo button on the face of the unit, the cd tray will pop out. The laser apature easily becomes dirty and requires frequent cleaning. If maitnenence is not kept up the system has a very hard time trying to read even unscrached cd's, and will spin them for hours on end. I have also had a problem where I would turn the volume up about 25% of the way and the system would make a "ping" sound. From there it would completely power down so that the display was not lit up. Such as when you unplug it from the wall.
