Pros: great price, quality brand name hardware
Cons: limited availability for first batch of VPR's from Best Buy, stock speakers
The Bottom Line: At the time it was purchased, it was a very good deal. Other P4 2.0 gig machines were $300 more...

This machine came loaded with a P4 2.0 gig processor, 512 meg DDR, 120 gig Western Digital 7200 rpm ATA100 hard drive, Sound Blaster 5.1 Live, nVidia 64 meg video card, Liteon 16x DVD/40x CD Rom, Liteon 24x10x32 CDRW, modem and on board lan with Windows XP...
Bought the machine in Feb 2002. It worked perfect out of the box and have never had a problem with it. Packaged deal from Best Buy ran $1299 after rebates and included a 17" Samsung 753DF monitor and Canon S300 printer.
I have added an extra case fan and also a hard drive cooler and bought bought a stick of 512 meg DDR memory. It came with 2 256 sticks and there are only two memory slots on the mother board...ended up selling the other stick of memory...have a total of 768 meg of DDR ram...
Hooked it to my DSL line without any issues...
The only complaint I would have would be the speakers it came with, but since I already had a decent speaker package, this was not an issue...also, one minor observation, this has a 5.1 sound card but it only came with two speakers?
Best Buy only made a limited amount of 1600, 1800 and 2000 models before releasing their next line (1620, 1820 and 2020???) which did not have the specs of their first batch of PC's...
Overall, I have been very pleased with this machine...Best Desktop I have ever purchased...
