I stayed at the Hampton a year ago. I will never go back. Although, like you said, the bathroom was clean, the carpet was soiled and the room smelled. Our phone was broken and we were barged in at 11:30 PM (after calling repeatedly starting at 9:00 PM) with no knock on the door and no warning. This hotel is terrible and it's worth it to spend $10 more and stay at the Marriott Courtyard down the street (although you do need a car in both spots to get downtown).
