I have been doing different rewards programs for over two years now. I have received cash and gift certificates both. One that I recently got into was Greenfield Online. I have only been doing this one for a couple of months, but I like it quite a bit. It has become one of my regulars that I check back with often.
What is Greenfield Online? It is a paid for surveys site. You answer a few survey questions and if you are fast enough they pay you for them. The shorter surveys are also "qualifiers" for one hour long surveys that you could be chosen for. Those typically pay $20. Not bad for an hour of your online time, huh?
What do I mean by "fast enough"? Earning money for taking their surveys isn't a sure thing unless they email you for a follow up survey, which is typically $2, or unless you are chosen for one of the $20 surveys. The surveys listed on the site are paid as long as you are within the first so many surveys taken. This changes for each survey. Sometimes it is one of the first 100, 500, 1000 or even 2000. The only problem is that you have no idea if you are one within that group or not. I understand Greenfield Online's point in that though. If you KNEW you weren't one of the first to take the survey so you wouldn't get paid, would YOU still do it? Most people would say no, they wouldn't.
You also have to watch because sometimes the surveys are for certain people. Say men between the ages of 18-24. That's pretty exact. Sometimes they only want users with certain jobs or certain software. You just have to read the description of each survey carefully to see if it is for you or not.
When you take a survey the credit isn't immediate. Often it takes several weeks before they credit your account. I have also noticed that they send emails saying your account has been credited, but not always. I have gotten an email and went to check my account and there was more in there than I knew about because I never received the email. So I check my account often now, to see if any surveys have credited.
They also have some surveys that offer you a chance to win money, like $250 is one of the amounts. These can be long, depending on your answers. I had one say to allow up to 40 minutes but it took me less than five. Because I didn't use what the survey was about it, I couldn't really help them. They draw a name, I believe, of the people that took the survey. I have never won these.
There is no minimum cash out. You can cash out for as little as $1 if you want to. I try to wait until I have at least $5 in my account. The checks, though, are small postcard types, similar to a rebate check, so you have to watch that they don't get tossed in the trash or lost on accident. They say to allow 2-3 weeks for processing and another 2-3 weeks mailing time. They're slow, but so far I have always gotten my check.
The website itself is easy to navigate. There is a constant menu on the left hand side. There is Home, Join, Members Area, FAQ, Company Profile, and Contact us. The Members Area is where you go to take a survey or view you profile, which also includes your account. I have bookmarked the survey page so that I can easily check back often.
The only way to make money on this site is by taking surveys. There are no referral credits. The surveys change all day long. You could look now and have no new ones and then look again in 2 hours and have 5 new ones up. You never know. I check back several times a day. You also have a better chance of being one of the firsts if you do this.
I have only had to email customer service once with any questions and they answered me back in about three days. I was afraid at first that they weren't going to reply, but when I did finally get an answer she was courteous and complete with her answers to my question.
All in all I love this site. They're a little slow in crediting and mailing my check, but I really can't complain. I have qualified for one of the $20 surveys and the hour seemed to fly by. It wasn't hard at all, almost like an online chat room. No big deal.
If you want to make a little bit of extra money, give Greenfield Online a try. The surveys don't generally take long, some are longer than other depending on your answers, and you could walk away with some hard cash for a little bit of your time.
