They need a LOT of help in customer service!

I ordered a laptop that was backordered, but when you applied the Best Buy rebate, it looked like a great deal. While my order was pending, I decided to buy a laptop that they don't offer. When I called them up (you can't cancel an order on the web - what's up with that?), they said that the order was being prepared to ship, and that they couldn't stop the process. WHAT?? But your website says that your order status was updated four times a day, and the order still showed "in progress" because the item was "on order". Three different people (on three separate phone calls) said they couldn't stop the item, nor get the item back from the warehouse dock. Ok, then, can you refund the shipping cost that I would be paying to send a shipment to me? The answer was no.
Can I speak to a supervisor, I asked. The answer, repeatedly, was that the supervisors are only there for administrative purposes (isn't cancelling my order an administrative purpose?) and that there was nothing they could do. Fine, I said, but can I speak to a supervisor anyway? No.
I do extensive online ordering, as I own my own business, and am always looking for the best deals, both in business and for my personal life. However, this was the first time I had ever ordered anything from Bestbuy.com. It will be my last.
The only way I can see myself coming out on top is that I have to dispute the charge with my credit card company, and provide any documentation of my argument (I've printed out my online order screens). I presume I will succeed, but the time and hassle to chase after a problem that could be avoided so simply, if only someone would get off their butt and go to the warehouse dock and bring the box it!
In a world full of choices, there is no need to depend on Bestbuy.com to buy something from. Even with rebates, you can get a better deal, cheaper, elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE!
