If you are looking for a great company to help you through the wireless world, go straight to AT&T. I had one of the best experiences when I walked into their store. When I walked through the door, I was greeted by a gentleman who was not in a rush to jump on me for a sale. He let me do the majority of the talking so I could tell him my needs and wants as a customer. The store had some great promotions on most of their cellular phones. He first showed me AT&T's coverage,he called them "our rate plans". I told him that I was going to be using the phone in Atlanta, GA. He then asked If that was the only place I would be traveling. I told him yes and he showed me this plan called the regional advantage. This plan started out at $29.99 +tax a month. It allows me to be in the following states: Virginia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. He said that as long as I was in those states making phone calls, that was my home area. So, when I am in those states, I will be able to call anywhere in the United States and I would not get charged long distance or what he called "roaming". Roaming , he said, is when you travel outside your home area. I would be charged for roaming if I left my home calling area, he stated. I told him that I wanted the most minutes for the least amount. He then told me to go with the $39.99+tax regional advantage plan. He gave me 200 minutes peak, 1000 minutes nights and weekends.Voicemail, call forwarding, caller I.D., detailed billing, text messaging, and three-way comes with it as well, free of charge! I asked him how much an activation fee was and he said $25.00. I also got a $75.00 cash back rebate , just for signing up! I THINK THAT IS A GREAT DEAL. I asked him if there as a free phone with this plan. He said unfortunately, there is no free phone, but he then showed me a phone that cost me $99.99+ tax, the Nokia 5165. This phone is not too big and not too small. It actually is a pretty good phone. He showed me all the important steps, like how to turn it on, shut it off, and when to start dialing. Then when that was explained, he showed me all the different features I would probably be using. He programmed my voicemail for me and showed me how to get to my messages. He showed me how to write a text message and send it! I also told him that I wanted a cool ring on my phone. He said If I dial this code....#3366 and hit send, the phone will download a song to your phone. 2 minutes later I have "Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz as my ring. He asked if if there was anything else I would need, and I told him I needed a car charger. I paid $30.00, but I got a leather case with it. He gave me his card and told me to call him if I ever needed anything. I am so glad I went to AT&T. The company has been around forever and I think that I will tell everyone about them. Fast, friendly service.
