Can I really get paid to do things online? The answer is a resounding "Yes!" Many companies will pay you to use their sites to search, click on banners, or send and receive email, while others will pay you for downloading a bar and viewing ads. With all the new programs, there is a variety of choices for the computer users.
How can they afford to pay us? Advertisers tend to pay on a
per-hit basis to their site. Companies find users like you and I, and then use us to get the hits. Once the hits have been verified, companies pay you a portion of their profits.
Today, I would like to go over the particulars of a company
called SearchCactus, a paid-to-surf program in which I participate.
How do I make money at SearchCactus?
SearchCactus pays users for performing a variety of tasks. The main task is searching. For every qualified search, users receive .02 cents. Once you do a search on Shopping, for example, a qualified, or paying, search is denoted by an "eye" symbol next to it. Searches that do not have the symbol will not be paid. Viewers may only visit sites once a day and get paid. Members may only do 20 paid searches
a day, and have to stay at each site for 20 seconds. That is a quick .40 cents per day.
How can I make more money?
Users receive 25% of what their direct referrals earn. However, after your direct has belonged for a year, then you are no longer eligible to earn a percentage of their earnings. There is no limit to the number of referrals
one can have.
You want to make even more money?
The last way to earn money is Quick Cash which pays you to sign up for various programs, or receive newsletters. It is important to sign up with the same email with which you registered. They currently have about $25 worth of quick cash offers.
How easy is it to use? It is very easy to use. There is no
download required so users may search from more than one computer. They require your name, address, and email info. They do require an activation code to prevent users from signing up with fake email addresses and getting paid. After registering, you will receive a welcome email with the activation code. Simply enter this activation code the first time you login and you are good to go.
When do I get Paid?
Users are paid when their accounts exceed $20. Checks are sent out on a monthly basis. There is a $2 processing fee for users outside the US. They do not send checks out automatically. Users do have to request them. Balances under $20 will be carried over to the next month. They have paid their members, so there is no worry that they will not pay.
What rules do they have? You may only sign up with one account per person. They do allow up to 4 accounts per household which, in my opinion, is a major perk. Membership is limited to the U.S. and Canada.
The negatives include: only getting paid for 20 searches a day; not having nearly as many listings as the major search engines; and the paying part of this program only allows U.S. and Canadian members. This cuts down on the number of referrals one can acquire.
I would recommend this to someone who has spare time on their hands, and is looking to make some extra change. The search engine does not come up with near the number of results that others do. I would not recommend this to those who are only interested in doing research. However, it is an easy way to earn about $15 a month without referrals.
