Search Cactus was fun, and they did pay me $63, woo hoo! (Reply to this comment)

A lot of searches at 2 cents a pop resulted in my whopping check (that cleared!) of $63 back in July. Since then, I don't use it as they now pay a penny per search, if you can find a topic that has that cute little cactus eye on it....hehe

I recently discovered the "Hints & Tips" website and I have been so thrilled to finally have a way to earn a little money on this site. I think I'll stop though when I reach 20.

Thanks for the great review. Actually, I already use SearchCactus, so it's nice to know that they do pay. I don't use it as a search engine, I only "collect" my 25 paid search results (I figured out enough search terms that give me 25 paid links every day).

Search Cactus Has A Few Prickles (Reply to this comment)

This review was very helpful to me, as I've been trying to decide about getting serious with Search Cactus or just letting it lie. The good balance of pro's and con's has helped me to decide to let it go; from what you've noted, I can't see that it will be much of a loss and I can step up my participation with other, better-paying programs.

about your receiving a check. Often these types of "earn to" programs seem great, but don't pay (ie. Dollars4Mail!!!) but I'm glad you posted when you got paid!
