| hpvamp's Full Review: Keyspan Digital Media Remote |
Not worth the $79 when if first came out, I jumped at the opportunity to buy it for $49 at the Apple Store. The remote works like a charm, and I am able to do my powerpoint presentations remotely and use my computer like a jukebox, playing MP3s. My only problem is it doesn't work with the recently released iTunes. Actually, it does work, but the software hangs when you start iTunes until you press a button on the remote, annoying, but I hope they fix it in the future. Other than that I am very happy with it and the feeling of controlling your computer with a remote control is something that is good to have if you play with a lot of MP3s or do presentations. The software comes with it's own set of predefined "maps", and others can be added easily. Just use the simple, graphical interface, to assign a key, or key-combination to a specific button and you can use the remote with virtually any program (though using it with Microsoft Word doesn't make much sense now does it?)
