It's true that Sony's manuals are rather lightweight but then again when you buy a car they don't throw in a 'how to drive' instruction book and when you buy an oven you don't get recipe books thrown in. When you buy condoms you don't get the 'The Joy of Sex' book thrown in. Etc etc etc. Just like these other products, it is assumed that you already know how to use a computer when you buy it. If you don't then get some training - this isn't Sony's responsibility, it's yours.
