I called their customer service only ONCE, to change my last name to my married name. So it was "Amy Nicholls" and the bill should now have "Amy Kouba". I even spelled it out for the lady three times. Who's on the bill now?

Your opinion is very well written and very accurate! I laughed the entire time and read excerpts to my husband as we have had the same experiences with Verizon customer service.
Before I switched phone companies, I knew I could count on my monthly phonecall to Verizon. It's almost as if they purposely make billing 'errors' because most customers don't bother to review the bill. I literally got at least $60.00 in credit a month! However, after being transferred to 10 different, totally clueless people per call and sitting on hold forever (each call was at least a 90 minute ordeal), I wonder if it is worth it.

Hmm... I was looking for regular long distance providers on here, but this category seems as close as I can get. I was thinking of switching over to Verizon for my long distance, too till I read this. Though the evil Shelly might still be a little better than the computerized Sprint system. I call customer service and I still have yet to talk to an actual person... Very entertaining review...

Thanks for giving details of your descent into the nether planes of Verizon customer service. Not only was it amusing, it kicks butt and names names. I especially applaud your retaliatory tactics; never take that sort of treatment lying down. Keep writing and fighting.

This could be my opinion on SPRINT...For real! I just had the same exact thing happen to me with Sprint. With the Exception of Shelly, which should be replaced with Al.

I just signed a 2 year contract. I tried to call customer service last night at about 9 pm and got a bloody recording. What happened to 24 hour service?

...but what a shame about Verizon. Although, from what I've heard, the customer service reps at Sprint are trained by the same caring folks who do it for Verizon- just read the reviews here.(There's even a member here by the username of sprintsux).
I like your style- 'don't get mad, get even' works for me!

Why don't you switch to sprint? Or anyone else but them. Verizon is the worst, just check the Epinions.
