I ordered a Toshiba laptop through this OfficeDepot company. It was listed as "Out of Stock", but they told me it would only be 7-10 days before it was available. A week later, I called and asked if it was available yet, and once again I heard it would be 7-10 days. Another week later, I got the same information and again the week after that. I escalated with their customer service management and told them I wanted to know when/if my laptop was coming. After several calls back and forth, they admitted they had no idea when I would get the laptop. Frustrated, I canceled my order. They blamed Toshiba for not coming through, but I blame them for not telling me the truth. Telling me it would be here in 7-10 days over and over and not delivering presents a credibility problem. If I can't trust them, then why should I buy from them? They should've told me that they were having an issue with Toshiba and perhaps I would've decided much earlier to purchase a different laptop without wasting over a month on this.
I must say that one customer service rep (Mike) acted very professionally and went out of his way to help.
As a result of this experience, I will not buy an important item from them again. Only those that are easily stocked and I don't need them in any particular time period.
