Pros:easy to thread. great rolled hem
Cons:hard to find
The Bottom Line: Only a self threading serger is easy. This is a great machine.

The Elna 634 is a phenomenally easy to thread four thread serger that makes the best rolled hem I have ever seen. Easy to follow color coding inside the machine shows you the correct path for threading the two lower loopers and cheat cards show you the tension settings to create many different stitches. Included are a four thread safety stitch, four thread stretch stitch. several three thread stitches of different widths and a coverter for a two thread stitch. Moving to a rolled hem stitch is a simple tension adjustment and the push of a clearly marked lever and you are making the best rolled hem I have ever seen.
The cutting blade is adjustable, differential feed lets you gather easily or prevent stretching when serging knits. An easy to follow manual makes this machine one of the most user friendly machines on the market. only a machine that threads itself is easier. The machine handles heavy decorative threads in the loopers and with a change in the tensions, does beautiful flatlock stitches.
It uses standard standard needles and has extra presser feet for purchase separately. I bought a gathering foot and can gather and attach a run of fabric faster than I could sew one seam with a conventional machine. If you are looking for an all purpose overlock, this is the best deal on the market.
