| bally29's Full Review: Sharp AQUOS LC-20B2U 20'' TFT Color Monitor w/ Bui... |
I'm a gadget and TV nut. Although I already have a 50" Plasma TV, I couldn't resist the temptations of this line of flat Liquid Crystal TV's from Sharp. First off, forget everything you've ever thought about LCD - like those tiny TV's you take to football games. This unit is a major video accomplishment.
They hang VERY flat against the wall. Best to buy wall mounts on line, not available at stores. Actually, best to buy these units on line too. Much cheaper than brick & mortar retail.
Anyway, I have a 15" and 20" LCD in this line. They look like beautiful artwork on the walls. Even with the picture turned off, this TV is an impressive head turner. Turn on the TV and you'll discover a picture that's almost as good as high definition. Hook it up to a good DVD and you'll be amazed. It has a built in 181 channel tuner and a very good remote. The speakers are ok for what you'd expect them to be (built into the sides of the screen), but if you're an audio afficionado you won't be satisfied.
Although these are expensive, you can find them for about 40% off on the usual online sources.
One last point - and this is important - BUY THE UNITS THAT HAVE THE LETTER "A" AT THE END (B2UA AND NOT JUST BTU). The "A" model is newer and very much improved, and if you're buying online you don't want to fall for a low price and discover afterwards you didn't get the best and newest model.
