Sprint has the unfortunate reputation for bad customer service and endless phone menus. I'm pleased to pronounce that when I called today, a live, knowledgeble person picked up!! That's almost unheard of in this industry. She was able to answer my question immediately, which made me happy.
My one complaint is the website. Sprint's website has been changing, I think for the better. It's hard to tell just yet. Even when it works, it's still difficult to navigate, in my opinion. A few days ago, some links didn't work, but today, they work fine. I had some problems with logging in, but it worked today. This tells me that Sprint has some dedicated people making sure that everything works properly. I think this applies to the rest of the company. They're not in the business of making people unhappy - it's just not a good policy.
The reason I chose Sprint in the first place was the nationwide long distance network. With this plan, my "region" is the United States. I can go anywhere on the Sprint PCS digital network, which is strongest in urban and suburban areas, and call anywhere else in the country with no additional charges. Dual-band Sprint phones can use the analog network in rural areas, but will aquire roaming charges. Still, if my car is broken down in the mountains where digital signal doesn't get very strong, it's nice to know that I can still use my phone, even with the fees. Another plus is that Sprint's digital network is expanding every day.
Sprint is a progressive company that is constantly improving itself.
