Clarification

Pros:Easy set up
Cons:Docs are a little techy. I haven't tried live customer support.
The Bottom Line: Router/Firewall, generally - no brainer; don't connect to the Internet without one. Speedstream 2602 about as good as it gets.
To amplify the earlier review by Godai-Kun. I agree with his generally favorable review of the product. His "con" was that the device does not Stealth Port 113. More accurately, port 113 is not Stealthed by default. However, it is a relatively simple matter to redirect pings to port 113 to a non-existing internal address and port - thus achieving the same non-response, i.e., stealth. Takes two seconds to set up, if you know what settings to adjust. I'm not an employee, just a satisfied owner.
Other than this, I agree, this is a pretty simple appliance to drop into your existing broadband home network. I wouldn't advise anyone to establish a connection to the Internet without a hardware firewall. The Speedstream 2602 is a very simple, effective appliance.
