Have you ever felt uneasy about making a MAJOR purchase over the Internet? Well, US-Appliance.com took all of my fears away, instantly.
I first emailed them questions over every detail that I was worried about when I ordered a Duet(HT) washer from them.
Here is a copy of the email and their immediate response:
"#1. Will I be receiving a brand new machine?
Yes, we order directly from the manufacturer when you place your order.
#2. What do I do if items are missing?
Call us and let us know and we will check to see what the situation is.
#3. If shipment is damaged, I can refuse it, right?
Yes, if you believe that it is something that is
un-repairable. You can also call us and we can send an authorized service person out to take a look and do the repairs at no cost to you.
#4. How do I obtain the pedestal for this washer? Is there a part number I can order?
I was able to locate the part number for you on the pedestal, it is LAB2700LQ. You could order this item directly from Whirlpool.
#5. Approximately what time frame does it look like we will be receiving this new washer, according to your sources?
As stated on the confirmation that you received, the standard delivery time is 2-3 weeks. I have placed the order with the manufacturer and should be receiving the item on Thursday, February 28. We would be shipping out within 1-3 days and the standard shipping time is 3-5 business days.
#6. Will there be an extended delay in shipping?
At this time, your item is on schedule so I am not expecting any delays.
#7. If the washer would not work, you will help us get up & running?
Since you are purchasing a brand new product, if there were any problems, you would be able to contact the manufacturer for any service problems due to the manufacturers warranty.
#8. How do you obtain these washers? Are they ordered directly from Whirlpool? Is our washer back-ordered, if so, how long?
See above questions to get the answer to these questions.

That's the end of the correspondence we had with their wonderful Customer Service Department. Well, everything she said was true. The shipment, we were able to track on "Allied Van Lines" website at,
http://www.alliedvan.com/f_main_track.html. Their confirmation email includes the registration # of the shipment. Ours is "615032". Additionally, one needs to know who is handling the shipment, or rather, who booked it. In this case, the booking agency is Roswell, so we entered in "ROS". From there you can see the status of the shipment and when to expect it to arrive. If one would plug in these numbers at the above mentioned URL address, one would see how they can keep on top of their shipments from USAppliance.com. We received this shipment, bright and early, exactly at 9:00am.
The washer arrived sooner than expected, without a scratch. That's a wonderful thing considering it was a twelve hundred US dollar washer!!!
We couldn't be happier!!!
