Pros:Decent for the price
Cons:Doesn't get great radio reception, setting the alarm pretty tricky
The Bottom Line: I love this stereo/CD player/clock. It is as good as it gets for a reasonable price.

I got this as a birthday present a few years ago. I needed a radio, alarm clock, and CD combo to condense space on my desk. This did the trick. It's about 6 by 7 inches and 9 inches tall so it's pretty compact, but it packs a lot of function into such a small package.

I never had any problems with the CD player. The music sounds good. The quality is more than adequate. I'm sure it's not going to sound as clear as say a BOSE soundsystem, but for the price, it's great.

I had a few issues with radio reception. The unit came with a 3-foot wire attached to the back as a second antennae. I taped it to the wall above the regular metal antennae and that improved reception a little bit. Some stations came in clearer than others. One improvement I'd make to the radio is to have preset buttons. The dial does not make it easy to land on a certain station precisely. And since the numbers aren't so closely spaced, I spent a lot of time fiddling with the dial.

The sound of the alarm clock will definitely wake you up. It is an extremely obnoxious sound, as it should be if you need it to do its job. The snooze button gives you an extra 5 minutes, but I purposely placed the alarm clock across the room so I couldn't smack it and keep sleeping. Setting the alarm requires some thought, but once you've done it a few times, you'll be used to it. Always be sure to check if the AM or PM light is on. That got me a few times. A good feature is that you can set two alarms, each for a different time. An improvement I'd make is to control the volume and also to change the length of the snooze button, but you do have the option of waking up to the radio or a CD, so it evens out.

This is a great basic CD Radio Alarm Clock combo. There are others out there with more features, but this one is great for the money. If you're trying to save space or save money, I'd recommend this item.
