(Thanks go to JOUBERT for helping me introduce this new category.)
I needed to order some business cards, so when I received an e-mail advertising FREE Business cards, I decided to give them a look. They are VistaPrint.com. They claimed to give you 250 free business cards; I thought it sounded too good to be true, but I was wrong!
Their website is very easy to maneuver around, and it lets you look at their many different designs and styles of business cards that they have available. There are geometric styles, trendy styles, popular styles and corporate (business) styles. In the popular styles for example, you will see everything from puppies, and sailboats, to bicyclists or lighthouses. In each category, there are about 8-10 choices, so there is quite a variety.
After you select the card you want, you type in whatever information youd like to appear. The next step is to see how the finished card will look and this is a big advantage. Right then and there, if you like what you see, you go ahead and order. If not, you can change things around until you re satisfied with the appearance of your card. You are the boss. You look at what you have created before you order it to verify that you like it. If not, go back and change things around.
Since you are in charge of creating your business card, the only catch is that you have to input all of your information exactly as you want it, absolutely correctly, because you are the one making the final decision as to its appearance. So when you click the "I accept" button, that means that you have verified that all of your information is spelled correctly and is just as you want it to appear on the business card.
I chose a card with a photograph of a red rose on it because it was appropriate for my intended use. The red rose was beautiful; it was not a drawing or cartoon, it was a photograph of a real red rose with magnificent, vivid colors. The only thing you do not get to choose is the style of lettering. This is standard with their free cards.
One thing I would caution for (and this is the only thing I can think of) is: if you receive your order and you like it, as I did, go ahead and order a second set. I did this, and was very happy once again with my second set of cards, but when I waited and wanted to order a third set, the red rose style was no longer available! Of course, this was several months later. The style or picture you choose might be discontinued at a future date.
When you receive your free cards, you will notice that there is a tiny logo on the back side of the card in a gray color that is basically an advertisement for their free business cards.
If you choose to order from their other premium business card selections, you will, of course, pay a higher price, but you also have even more freedom as far as style and design. There is also no tiny advertisement on the back side of the premium business cards as there is for their free cards.
The only fee for the free cards is for shipping and handling and the total amount is just about $5.10. I have ordered 2-3 sets of the free cards from VistaPrint.com and I've even splurged and paid the big bucks (about $8.00) for the non-freebie premium cards. My main reason in doing so was to compare quality. I really didnt find any difference in quality or colors between the FREE cards vs. the "Premium" cards.
All of the business cards at VistaPrint.com, whether or not they are free or cost something are of high quality printing and card stock.
Another item I ordered from VistaPrint.com was their mailing labels. These were slightly higher priced, but the quality was just as good. I again decided to order a red rose, which I wanted to match the red rose on my business card. When I received them, they looked great! I was very pleased with the labels. They also allow 4 lines of printed information, which is nice, instead of the standard three line return mailing label.
I cannot say enough good things about the cards and mailing labels from VistaPrint.com! (They also offer full color stationary and your own personal postcards. I have not ordered these, but I can venture a guess that the quality is every bit as good as the business cards and mailing labels!)
If you are on the market for business cards or mailing labels, I highly recommend you give VistaPrint.com a look. Where else can you get 250 free business cards and just pay for the price of shipping and handling?
Thanks for reading my review! Hope you like VistaPrint.com as much as I do!.
