The Bottom Line: Has really gotten bad in the past year. The money saved is not worth the aggravation and headaches.

| GLADKOV's Full Review: Infinology |
I just wanted to agree with ralphphillips' review. Infinology has steadily declined in service and appears to be getting worse. They have frequent down times and a terrible, incompetent and rude staff--if you can actually get someone. You can get through to a life person maybe 1 time out of 20-no matter whether you call sales or service.
Here is an example of recent problems with them. Just as the semester was starting for my friend for whom I run the website, the site went down. This was one a Wednesday. I tried all day and into Thursday and Friday to get someone (meanwhile, people with important business sites are losing clients and thousands of dollars). I talked to some idiot on Friday and-after he got the domain name wrong 4 times even though I spelled it - said that the BSD2 server was down and that it would take 2 weeks to fix!! I said hell would freeze over before my website was down 2 weeks so he "generously" said they'd transfer me to the BSD3 server "at no charge" (they are so good to me) - but that all my data had been destroyed and I would have to reload everything again onto the new server and change all settings (it was about a six hour project!) Once I was on BSD3, it was taking 3 minutes to load a simple 90k page! When I finally was able to even get an answering machine message, they said that BSD2 would be repaired that Monday--NOT 2 weeks later. Then, I get this general email like 4 days later saying that they had had a malfunction and because they backed-up their data only EVERY TWO WEEKS, massive data had been lost. Now the site seems to be down for at least an hour or so every day on the fabulous new BSD3 server. What really irritates me is that they persist to lie and say they have a 99.9% uptime-wrong. They say they have superior customer service-way wrong!
Need more evidence? Here is an email from just yesterday:
During our upgrade for the Control Panel some of the Disk Quotas were set from Gigabytes (GB) to Megabytes (MB). 2GB (2000 MB) became 2 MB. This small glitch has been fixed and should be functioning correctly within the next few minutes. You may disregard any e-mail sent to you about over usage of your quota
One "glitch" is fine but things like this seem to happen on a regular basis.
There will be people who say, "It is a bargain provider - you get what you pay for." Well, I'm sorry. NO provider should:
1) Lose your data
2) Not have a reliable back-up system
3) Have major downtimes and no reliable notification when problems occur/when they will be fixed
4) Claim they have great customer support when they do not answer much of the email and answer their phones next to never.
I'm telling you, don't waste your time. I just run a small site for a class. If I had a business, I'd be losing huge numbers of customers and lots of money.
