| klueger's Full Review: Stafford® Cotton/Poly Wrinkle-Free Check Shir... |
If you are like me you find dress shirts a necessary evil. I much prefer to wear a T-shirt all the time though I will admit when you get dressed up you do look good. Its nice to have the wife look at you with that look that says yeah thats my man and you better not touch him. (Admit it guys you know the look and like it.) Any way a lot of us need to wear dress shirts if not on a regular basis at least once in a while. Most shirts I find to be tight, restricting, and all around uncomfortable. If this is your problem let me tell you guys I have found a shirt for you the Stafford Wrinkle-Free.
I have four of these gems three long sleeved and one short-sleeved shirt so they make them in both styles. They have a variety of colors my short sleeved shirt is a light red with small vertical white stripes on it. My 3 long sleeved shirts are all solids they consist of a maroon, light blue, and gray. I (I should say we because Ill admit that I usually have my fashion consultant along with me when I buy dress clothes.) bought these shirts about 5 or 6 years ago so I have had them for a while. I wore them on a fairly regular basis up until January of this year, when I got a job where I didnt have to wear dress shirts. Now that I have even a newer job I am back to wearing them. They are still in good shape no tears and not much fading of color either. They come in the standard sizes ranging between 15 and 18. Some companies dont make the selection that this company has when you start getting into the larger sizes such as 17 ½ I get tired of just white and blue shirts. I checked the link out to JcPenney provided by Epinions and found they do have an extra tall size I am not sure about the collar because it was just labeled extra tall. I do not have to shop for this size so sorry I cant be more help.
These shirts are very comfortable to wear they are made of 60% cotton and 40% polyester. They really do not need to be ironed which is one of the best things about these shirts. I hate ironing (if I give my wife those puppy dog eyes she will usually do it for me but the taking care of laundry really is my responsibility in our house.) Now if you leave them in the dryer for a prolonged period of time like a day or two you may have to press them but it doesnt harm the shirt. However, I dont know if you regularly iron the shirts if it will affect them or not. I have only pressed them a couple times throughout the years. They dont seem to get the splotches when you sweat, and they dont stick to you like some clothing does. Your skin can breathe which is what I think helps you feel a little more comfortable when its hot and you are wearing these shirts.
The care instructions for the shirt are the basic machine wash cold with like colors and tumble dry low. I basically wash all our clothes like this I have a very simple washer with only two settings cold or hot so its easy for me. As I said these shirts have hardly faded at all and they have been washed many times in the last years because I like wearing them therefore they get washed a lot.
I think we paid around $20 for these shirts but they have withstood the test of time. When I checked the price out today they are now $22. They are sturdy and dont fray at the seams and as I have mentioned a couple times the color has stayed the same. So for the comfort and durability of these shirts I would say the price is reasonable.
In conclusion I would say if you are in the market for new dress shirts check out the Stafford wrinkle-free it is a very comfortable shirt which is made very well.
I hope you have found this review helpful in some way.
