Pros: It is based on sensible principles: exercise and a healthy diet -- and it works.
Cons: Cost of shakes (only way I found to get 6 meals a day)
The Bottom Line: Try it - it is safe, practical and it WORKS!

This program works. In a nutshell, it combines aerobics, resistance work (to build muscles and speed up the metabolism) and six SMALL (but healthy) low-fat meals a day. This eating plan keeps you from being hungry while allowing your stomach to shrink! Thus, it is safe and very flexible. I travel and have had little trouble sticking to it. The "free" day helps you work around those events where you can not avoid being "bad" without feeling like you have failed on the diet. After a few weeks, I found that I really didn't eat very differently on my "free" day than on the other six, which is a testament to the fact that the "diet" isn't too unpleasant and that my eating habits had been permanently changed.
The exercise program is easier if you have a workout partner to keep you from "cheating" on the exercises or doing any of them in a harmful way.
The only "con" is the shakes - they are expensive and too thick for my taste (and my friends' also). I found a solution: using the "deluxe" formula, mix it with 16 oz of water as per recipe, add some fruit (ex: a banana) and another 8 oz of skim milk. Then split the result into two (2) 16 oz drinks.
