I'm writing about the model R-1501 I bought, which looks just like the one in the picture.
Its flush design hiding the buttons behind the door is very attractive. In general, its operation is not sacrificed by the fact that the door needs to be open in order to punch the number keys. However, if one accidently hits the stop button on the outside instead of the start button, one has to reopen the door again to have access to the other keys.
It's not the quietest oven around, especially if the fan/exhaust is turned on. But it does its job cooking well. However, it's the 1st microwave I've seen that burns pop-corns. Therefore, one has to babysit it when popping corns and finish its program between 20 or 30s sooner.
It sure is on the cheap side for $250 for an over-the-range oven, but you get what you paid for: in the 1st few weeks, the start button gave away, requiring pressing it way into the cabinet to activate it. A few weeks later, its bright EL display started to flicker intermitently, sometimes becoming too dark to read, and now a couple of segments don't light up.
