Nice op. When I came home from London, I didn't have jet leg-- I had culture shock and a hangover from my six months of "studying" abroad, which really meant partying. I should read a book about how to get over THAT.

I actually attended a seminar recently where the topic was circadian rhythms. It's amazing to think that we have genes that are controlled by exposure to light. Just something that I'd never thought of before. I may even get to use some of this advice at an upcoming conference. Great review.

thanks,

I've been blessed (cursed?) (Reply to this comment)

with the miraculous ability to sleep whenever, wherever, and forever, until something wakes me up. So I've never really had any problem with jet lag, even on 16 hour flights. I just sleep through the entire flight, and arrive ready to either be awake, or sleep some more.

Alas, as I age I seem to be losing this ability. Having a wife who conscientiously reminds me about house and yard work on Saturday mornings might have something to do with it. In any case, I may soon have to take a look at this book! Thanks for the detailed review.
