~~CARTER'S INFANT BOY'S FLEECE FOOTED SLEEPERS~~EVERY BABY BOY SHOULD HAVE SOME!

Written: Oct 24 '02 (Updated Jan 16 '03)
Pros:Keeps infants warm and cozy all winter, especially those tiny toes!
Cons:Expensive at full price.
The Bottom Line: Put your little one to sleep this winter wearing these cute Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers and he'll stay toasty and warm all night long.

Even though my 2 year old son is long past the infancy stage, he continues to wear Carter's high quality premium sleepwear. One of our favorite cool weather favorites are their classic blanket sleepers, which feature soft and fuzzy material to keep youngsters toasty and warm. He currently wears a toddler size 3T, but in years past, we purchased these Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers in the smaller infant sizes and they provided months of durable wear. Colors and designs vary with every season, but this year's styles are the same choices also currently available in the toddler sizes Tristan now owns. I've always preferred footed blanket sleepers over those thinner two-piece pajama sets that expose the feet (good luck keeping socks on your active little one!), and these one-piece sleepwear items fit the bill perfectly. Read on to find out more.

~~~The Sleepwear~~~
According to the product advertising found at www.jcpenney.com, these functional Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers will keep your active little guy all cuddly and warm with the polyester fleece blanket sleeper. Footed to keep those cute toes covered. Zip-front. Gray has truck applique; print is all-over construction trucks. Washable. Imported of domestic fabric. Made with 100% polyester material (excluding the stretchy trim), these flame resistant basic layette pieces are certainly one cool weather staple every baby should own. Simply layer over a "onesie" and use them for day wear, too. A quick errand across town is made simple as all you have to do is place your sleeping infant inside his car seat and go. No shoes or socks are required and he'll stay warm and comfortable the entire trip. Unzip the front down the left leg in one simple motion for easy dressing and diaper changes. The feet have elastic around the ankles for greater fit, and the soles on larger sizes have non-skid feet for active walkers on the go. Rest assured that unless your little one hits a major growth spurt, these Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers will last all winter long and then some.
~~~Sizing & Design Information~~~

There are currently three sizes available in these Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers. They are:

06 Months: 18-21 pounds (25 inches)
12 Months: 21-23 pounds (28.5 inches)
18 Months: 24-26 pounds (31 inches)

Infants wearing a size 24 Months will need to graduate to a toddler size 2T. Sometimes I wonder just WHAT the difference between these two sizes are anyway, if any. Consider purchasing some of those classic newborn stretchy one piece sleepers with the snaps for younger babies as they are a great alternative.

Color and design choices available now at www.jcpenney.com when choosing these Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers are as follows:

Green Dinosaur Applique
Red Teddy Bear Applique
Grey with Tractor
Tractor Print

~~~Price & Availability~~~
To purchase these Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers at the full retail price of $16.00, go to the JCPenney website (www.jcpenney.com) and order online today. Other fine department stores that offer this high quality Carter's sleepwear include, but are not limited to: Sears, Proffitt's and Belk. At regular intervals, this sleepwear is often priced at a significant discount (at least 25% to 30% off), so my recommendation is to watch for sales and then stock up. While these sleepers do cost a bit more than generic choices found at many discount stores, such as Wal-Mart, the slightly higher price (when purchased on sale, of course!) is certainly worth the extra money paid as they last much longer and shrink less than cheaper choices. So investing a few extra dollars in sleepwear that will last the entire season (and can be passed on to future children if desired or needed) is a financially wise thing to do. And you'll definitely get your money's worth when purchasing these Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers, even at full retail price if you have plenty of money to spend.
~~~Carter's Quality~~~

A leader in premium children's apparel for over 135 years now, Carter's has produced high quality layette items, including bedding, play clothes, and sleepwear such as these Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers for many generations. Even though this brand is more expensive in price than many lines featured in most discount stores, feel confident purchasing high quality traditional Carter's layette and children's items as they will last much longer wash after wash than many of the cheaper brands do. Hold on to them to use again and again with subsequent children or sale them to someone in need as the resale value of this brand is high. I have been purchased these Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers in varying prints and colors in the past when my 2 year old son wore infant size clothing. And even now many of his outgrown Carter's infant sleepwear is still in excellent condition. Right now they are all packed away as I just can't bear to part with them yet even though he's our third and most likely last baby we'll have.

~~~Overall Recommendation~~~
Parents of infant boys living in cooler climates should consider picking up several of these Carter's Infant Boys Fleece Footed Sleepers today before freezing weather really sets in soon. Of course there are similar choices in different colors and designs available for infant and toddler girls too, so never fear as they won't be left out in the cold, so to speak. This highly durable sleepwear is not only attractive in appearance and cuddly soft to the touch, but it also keeps babies warm and comfortable all night (and even all day, too!). So feel confident spending a few extra dollars more for these Carter's Infant Boy's Fleece Footed Sleepers as high quality sleepwear is what you'll get. Good luck and stay warm this winter!
Carter's: "I'm not tired. My eyes just need a rest."
Carter's sleepwear is flame resistant and meets the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission sleepwear requirements.
