I bought a Subaru Forester with factory installed roof racks. I already had the Yakima Lockjaw rack for my bike, so I got the mighty mount to use with the Subaru. The Mighty mounts are MUCH easier and better than using the Q-towers on my Honda Civic.

To put them on, all you have to do is slip a little insert into the mount, slip the mounts on the roof rack, put the bolts of the bike rack through the mounts, then tighten the bolts down by hand. Pretty simple, but getting everything spaced right is a bit of a chore.

These mounts will keep your bike rack in place in harsh conditions. I drive kinda crazy and the bike stays on. And it seems that whenever I drive with bikes on top, it is through a thunderstorm with high winds, and the bikes stay on. I worry more about the factory installed roof rack coming off than I do the mounts coming lose.

If you have a roof rack that is compatible with the mighty mount, they are worth buying. It is an excellent product. They will work with any other Yakima rack or product.
