FWIW, I would NEVER call you a "shill"....and this in no way negates the crux of my message. Your tag line:
"Boscov's.com--A Great Regional Department Store That Delivers For You!"
Was hardly what one might call objective. Seriously, they apparently delivered for YOU and that's just fine. But to make the erroneous, albeit enthusiastically emotional blanket statement that they would do so for everyone that reads your piece is misleading in my view. I mean, honestly, your piece does read like like an advertisement for the company....really, how do you know that boscovs is going to "deliver" for me? What do you say to that emotionally driven consumer that reads your piece and says, "By golly, I do believe she's right! I can't wait to order from bosovs!" And then goes on to take it in the shorts like myself and a virtual littany of others? By the looks of their rapidly tanking reputation based on the statements of others that endured fiascos like mine, I would mix caution with emotion.
::: A suffixial caveat to the preceding statments: I do not wish to appear to denigrate, in any way, the obviously talented and expressive writer of the review to which this comment is attatched. In addendum, I wish to apologize for rather spuriously choosing this review to reveal my acrimonies. Perhaps the reader can make positive use of the gulf that exists between your emotionally charged zeal for boscovs and my obvious and emotionally charged disdain for them....and sail that gulf with the winds of discernment always at their back.

Clearly you've had a bad experience at Boscov's but I did not. I can assure I have never worked there, for them, or known anyone who has. In fact I never heard of them before placing my first internet order with them.
I have written 160 reviews at Epinions in two plus years, and plenty of them have been negative. However, for me the experience was a good one. Sorry yours wasn't, and I do hope it gets resolved.
I take offense at your assumption that just because you didn't like your experience, you can assume I'm a fraud. I work very hard to write truthful, accurate reviews, and don't appreciate someone making baseless accusations about my writing.
The beauty of a site like Epinions is that there are many experiences to share, and the consumer can make their own decision from there. For example, I have one of the few poor reviews of Amazon.com, does that mean the other 600 or so people that reviewed it are wrong? No, it means I've had bad experiences, I shared them and let potential customers make up their own minds. Do I downgrade someone's work because I disagree? Never, it's simply a different Epinion and if it's well written, it gets a good rating.
I am sorry your experience has been a bad one, and if you follow Bonnie's advice on your piece and decide to update your review, I'm sure more people will see your side of things.

Forgive me for sounding a bit jaundiced at my own terrible experience with BOSCOVS but, your review couldn't have sounded better if it had been written by an ad copiest employed by the company itself. (or other employee/friend of BOSCOVS) How can this obviously biased piece serve any prospective shopper hapless enough to come across BOSCOVS online?

I had never even heard of Boscov's until today when I found a link to it on a coupon code site and thought I'd check it out (free shipping always attracts me). I found a bunch of things I'd been planning to buy at Amazon, at similar prices, and couldn't be happier!
Teensy complaints: not being able to ship to more than one address, or designating items as GIFTS so as not to include prices when they're shipped to the recipient. Oh well.
I was nervous about placing an order at the site, though, not being familiar with the store. Thanks for an excellent review--it's good to hear that they really just might be as good as they sound!

Erin, you are a lifesaver.
So, I read your review last night. Boscov's is a local department store for me, I really like them but I don't get out much, ;) Well, I keep forgetting they have an online store. (It is clunky, so it's not as if I'd hang out there.)
Today, I was on a mission to find a tablecloth for Thanksgiving. Went through 10 likely suspects that had terrible selections. Nearly gave up when I thought of ....
Boscovs!
Sure enough, tons of tablecloths. Found a perfect one.

I like the fact that you can literally do it all online! It saves a ton of time, wear and tear, and leaves a lot of extra time to be with family friends and ...yourself. People may start reading again.
So true shopping online is my preference for all of those reasons. Thanks for the comment.
