This Drive Rocks
Written: Nov 11 '02
Pros:Large Capacity, Fast, Reliable
Cons:None
The Bottom Line: Best 120gig reasonably priced, fast/reliable option out there in my opinion.
I just put two of these in a new system and now have more storage that I know what to do with. The drives seem relatively quiet. I am running them with XP. Beware if you are using 98 or older, you can't by default partition these as one drive as it won't see the whole drive. I haven't done any real benchmarks to notice the additional speed of the special edition 8MB buffer. I paid about $170 each for the two drives. I have been a Western Digital user for years and have always found their drives reliable. I also have another machine with two 60 gig models installed which have been flawless for over a year. I highly recommend Western Digital.
