Terrible modem

Pros: Famous brand
Cons: Almost unusable. Very poor customer service
The Bottom Line: I do not recommend this modem to anyone.

This modem crashes my system frequently when I am online. After each crash the error message shows that one of its driver file has problem (3c1807pd.sys). That is why I know it is modem's problem instead of browser's problem.
I contacted the customer service via emails six times and six different technicians provided me solutions but none of them solved the problem. In one of those emails I asked if I can exchange this modem to another model. They did not answer my question. Finally they suggested me to call their phone customer service.
I called but it seems that there is no communication between US Robotics' phone customer service department and email customer service department. My case number from email service department does not work here and again I have to give out name, address, etc. The technician just tried to show me solutions that the email service department already told me. After 25 minutes (oh, I forgot to said that this number is NOT toll-free), I asked again if I can exchange for a different model. The technician said he needs to ask his supervisor and he put me on hold for another 10 minutes. After he came back, he told me that his supervisor refused to do so.
I bought this modem just because it is a US Robotics. My old US Robotics Sportster modem works perfectly for more than 5 years. But I am very disappointed at this one. I originally wanted to give it two stars but after the customer service I decided to give it one star.
