Introduction
If you are searching for the cheapest-best video card on the computing market look no further. The PNY Geforce 4 Ti 4200 is the ultimate video card for any gaming PC. This thing has one thing in mind, to make the graphics fly! If you want graphics that are on par or even surpass say a PS2 or Xbox then look no further, the Geforce 4 Ti 4200 will quench all your gaming needs. The card that I’ll be reviewing is the PNY Geforce Ti 4200 with 64mb of RAM. Let’s get on with the show!

This card has very competitive fill rates as compared to cards of this same category – essentially 64mb and 128mb make subtle differences in gaming. But keep in mind in heavy processing like photo and video editing the 128mb may come in handy.

Pros
As you can see PNY does not include that much stuff with this card – however with what it lacks in the packaging it makes up in performance. This card kills quake3 and tears the ground up with Unreal Tournament. *I was playing this game at 1600x1200 with no problems!* When you run this game at 1280x1040 it is absolutely crystal clear. The max resolution is 2048x1536 8/16/32 bit colors with 60Hz. When you are looking for FPS and awesome fast paced graphics this card is amazing. No doubt about it you will be blown away. The manual isn’t that great and the drivers are okay – nothing special but plug in play with Windows XP should make it easy for any novice to set up. The drivers are great and if you get fed up you can always download the original nVidia drivers since that is the main chipset on the video card.
Cons
Maybe they should have included some games and dvd software. But to keep prices low I believe PNY kept this to a bare minimum trying to attract hardcore gamers and people that want maximum performance from their gaming machine.
Conclusion
The PNY Gefroce Ti 4200 is a must have for any graphics hound and game nut! The graphics need to be seen, no words can describe the smoothness and texture this card hashes out. An overall excellent gaming card – however if you are looking for a multimedia experience I suggest you look at the ATI-All-In-One Radeon cards. These will provide you overall good performance in video and other areas besides gaming. But I feel that PNY strictly wanted this card to fall into the niche of the hardcore gamer and graphics lover. In my case they found the right hands!!!
