DWL-520 D-Link PCI Adapter

Pros: It came in a pretty Box

Cons: It won't work-Tech support useless

The Bottom Line: Save you self some time, spend your money on something else, the DWL-120 cards seem to work good. A real problem with the DWl-520.

I do IT support for living, and consulting on the side. I bid a home job using a D-Link Router/AP and DWL-520 PCI adapter.

Being Cisco Wireless certified, I usually use only proven
devices, but this time I tried something new. I must say the D-Link router worked well, but the PCI card would never work properly. It would loose packets about 90 percent of the time with 80% signal strength. D-Link Tech support was about useless. After spending about 6 hours on a project that should have taken 30 minutes, I gave up, pulled an old DWL-120 USB Wireless adapter out of the closet and was up and running in 2 minutes.

Don't waste your time with this adapter, it's junk !
